transm. = transmission (gap fraction in the cell, i.e. in the sector within the ring)
projec. = projection coefficient according to the preset average leaf angle
dist.   = representative distance to the crown (here in m)
omega   = calculated leaf area in the cell, here in m²
NOTES:
- cells not touched by the defined crown are not mentioned in the results
- cells with only a partial intersection wiht the defined crown have ignored pixels
- cells intersecting the defined crown but actually without foliage have no black pixels and thus no leaf area
- the leaf area is in the same unit (squared) as the one used to measure the crown (here m and m²)
- the representative distance is calculated as the distance to the crown volume in the cell that determines the solid angle of the projected area
