The following buttons are accessible directly from the main window of Pixstat:
Load picture(s): choose the file to be analysed or
the files to be analysed together as a batch
Scan picture: acquire a picture from a scanner
Save picture: save picture as displayed (in colours, in grey or in black and white)
Analyse picture(s): run the analysis of the picture
(as a batch if several pictures are loaded)
Stop current analysis
Help: call this help system
Previous picture: go to the previous picture (if several are loaded)
Next picture: go to the next picture (if several are loaded)
Colours: view the current picture in colours (if it is originally in colours)
Grey tones: view the current picture in grey tones (if it is originally in
grey, or according to the colour settings if it is originally in colours)
Black and white: view the current picture in black and white
(according to the colour settings
and to the threshold)
Calculate
threshold: calculate the threshold between black and white for the current
picture (if the
threshold has been set to automatic in the Options)
Zoom -: zoom out
Zoom +: zoom in
Object curvature: select if objects in the picture are curved or not,
or if they have no defined length and width because of their complex shape
Object shape: select the general shape of the objects in the picture
(which affects the calculation of their length and width)
View results: open the plain-text file containing the results (as chosen by
selecting
Results
in the Options)
